Biography

Born in 1952, he lives in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany. He is the founder of a musical genre he calls Szenisches Konzert [Stage Concert], whose conception is quite straightforward: a concert is in fact staged, with musicians and singers performing in a specially designed setting, with an action unfolding against a background, so as to turn a musical performance into a theatre piece.
This implies a narrative lead which develops with the music, while commenting, elucidating and criticizing it, in a nutshell giving it flesh and bone. Scenographer Klaus Grünberg is his usual collaborator.
