Biography

Ludovic Lagarde assisted Christian Schiaretti at the Comédie de Reims, where he directed several shows – Courteline, Beckett, Chekhov. Lagarde then founded his own company and met multi-talented Olivier Cadiot, novelist, philosopher, translator of the Bible and of Gertrude Stein, librettist and poet. The pair, together with regular collaborators, have presented, among other pieces, Le Colonel des zouaves [The Colonel of the Zouaves], Retour définitif et durable de l'être aimé [Definitive and Durable Return of the Loved One], and Fairy Queen. In 2009, Ludovic Lagarde returned to the Comédie de Reims as manager. In 2010, Olivier Cadiot is, together with Christoph Marthaler, associate artist at the Festival d’Avignon, where A Nest, What For? will be produced.
