Born in 1975, he studied at the Russian Academy of Dramatic Art. He is an actor and a musician – proficient in classical music, jazz and balalaika. In 2005, Vladimir Pankov created SounDrama, which combines a theatre company, a recording studio and an artists' collective. With his team, he produced Bulgakov, Tsvetaeva, Gogol and Shakespeare. And, of course, Chekhov. He is a regular guest of the Moscow International Theatre Festival.
