ON THAT DAY
The day when the towers collapsed and the world changed dramatically, and ten years later.

On September 11th 2001, New York’s Twin Towers collapsed. More than a terrorist attack, it meant a plunging into the paranoia of war, and a world-wide panic. Michel Vinaver has always paid attention to social drifts and he has collected and mixed extracts from speeches, articles, slogans,and testimonies. “ It is a sort of stage Guernica”, writes Olivier Goetz, an academic quoted by Arnaud Meunier who, ten years later, continues the experience. Since 2010, in three secondary schools in Seine-Saint-Denis, with actors from his company, he has been organizing  work groups about this date which has become a symbol. About an event which, even if it is not unknown  to the students, struck them when they still were children.With actors, also directed by circus artist Jean-Baptiste André in collaboration with choreographer Rachid Ouramdane, forty students stand on stage, forming a group, a chorus, which expresses their questions, what they refuse, what they expect in the world they will have to live in.
