The quintessence of elegance

Aleksandar Madzar possesses the qualities of a true stylish pianist: serenity and ease – yet without any nonchalance when he sits at the keyboard - , the self-confident strength that comes with an intuitive knowledge of the melodic line, and, most of all an admirable ear that serves harmonic clarity. The Serbian artist is not one of those gluttons for public performances who are constantly seeking recognition. Mazdar, however, is a frequent guest for recitals at Wigmore Hall in London and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, places that only a few privileged artists are invited to. Aleksandar Madzar will use his gift for enhancing the different sound strata to serve emblematic compositions by Debussy and Ravel. Then he will meet the challenge reserved for the happy few and perform the great fresco known as Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorsgsky. From one of Elisso Virsaladze's disciple, to whom therefore the heritage of the great Russian tradition is in part entrusted, we expect a lot.
