A musical journey from Naples to Madrid

Fabio Biondi celebrates a double anniversary: he has been at the head of the Europa Galante orchestra for twenty years and was billed twenty times at the Théâtre de la Ville. He comes from Palermo and his career is indeed the perfect example of a generation prompted by the rediscovery of baroque music. He is a violin player and played as a soloist when he was twelve with the RAI orchestra, and at sixteen he entered once and for all the baroque sphere where, as soon as he founded his ensemble in 1990, he kept on being among the leaders. With his inventiveness, his sense of styles and colours, his quest for authenticity nurtured as much on science as on sensitivity, Fabio Biondi is a very endearing and most special figure, who gives  at least a near-universal dimension to the Latin temperament. This year, he offers us a stimulating journey from Naples to Madrid.
