Charm and momentum
They are all at once brilliant, warm, fresh, exuberant and demanding;, there are not enough adjectives to qualify Amandine Beyer and Gli Incogniti, unknown to many but very well known by the public of the Théâtre de la Ville. This little chamber ensemble – in which each musician is a soloist, but which sounds like a phalanx with far more soldiers – restores Vivaldi’s true depth, strength and exquisite softness. Following in Chiara Banchini's, Fabio Biondi's and Giuliano Carmignola’s wake, Amandine Beyer lends new credibility to baroque virtuosity: on top of that, her sunny and dazzling concert, sparkling with charm, offers a rarely heard performance of The Four Seasons; it is suggestive, colourful, pastoral and so eloquent that one only needs to close one's eyes to see all the landscapes.
