Odisea Negra is a dream journey in the heart of the collective memory of the black people from Africa and the Caribbean. It tells us the “Odyssey” of a people, their encounter with the white man, the mixing… Twelve musicians combine voice, classic and traditional musical instruments, varied timbres and tones, to tell that story: bass and soprano tessitura, Ablaye Cissoko’s and Tato Ruiz’s voices, viols and lutes, marimba, kora and cuatro… A musical combination which is highly original and prolific.
