Biography

After studying at Sciences Po and an acting career, he created the Compagnie de la Mauvaise Graine in 1997. In 2003, he attracted the critics’ attention with  his staging of Pylade by Pier Paolo Pasolini. He taught at the TNB (Théâtre National de Bretagne ) and at the Comédie de Reims; he travelled in and outside Europe, particularly to Tokyo, where in 2006, he staged La Demande d’emploi by Vinaver with Japanese actors, and the same year, Citizens of Seoul by Oriza Hirata, which also came to France. In 2009, always in Tokyo, he met up with Vinaver again with Par-dessus bord, performed at the Théâtre des Abbesses in 2010. He has been at the head of the Comédie de Saint-Étienne since last January. In a different style, in 2011, he stages Le Problème by François Begaudau at the Rond-Point.
