Biography
He made his debut in 1952 with Jean Louis Barrault, worked for the cinema and television, but the theatre is the place he calls home. He notably played with Patrice Chéreau, Matthias Langhoff, Luc Bondy and André Engel to whom he owes his first encounter with Thomas Bernhard’s plays in 1990 with The Universal Reformer. He worked with them again in 1997 for The Force of Habit and in 2000 for The Reformer. He played Wittgeinstein’s Nephew in 2007 with Bernard Levy, Minetti in 2009 with Georges Schumann, and then Extinction with Alain Françon.
