81 avenue Victor Hugo

A piece of news

On the outskirts of Paris, Aubervilliers in part of the “banlieue” where social problems are more prominent than elsewhere. It was there that Olivier Coublon-Jablonka met a collective of immigrants who mainly came from the Ivory Coast and Bangladesh, and with whom he developed this “piece of news”. Between exile and deportation, their backgrounds and their lives pose the question of how hospitality is given (or refused) to “foreigners”.
