THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL? Sun... The title of Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter’s new creation is in itself an indication that he has reached a turning point in his career, which has been dominated, since he settled in London in 2002, by pieces in which dynamism and the vigorous power of body language work together with the uncompromising way he looks at the violence of the contemporary world. As always, Hofesh Shechter is the author of both the musical score and the choreography of this piece for fourteen dancers pointing towards a possible way out of the tunnel, and guided by a light emerging from smoke and chaos. So then, has he become pacified or furiously optimistic?
