Anouar Brahem is the most creative and innovative specialist of the today’s oud. What better proof than this unique concert which reflects his latest album whose title (a tribute to the poetic opus of Mahmoud Darwish to whom it is dedicated) he borrowed for tonight’s performance. It brings together three other musicians: Gesing, versed in folk music from Eastern Europe and in jazz, Meyer who was nourished first by Cuban music, then flamenco and finally by Swedish folk music and Yassine, whose iinspiration anchored in the Lebanese tradition also ventures into numerous new experiences.
