Benjamin Alard will be at the Théâtre des Abbesses to perform pieces for the harpsichord composed by the Bach family, namely uncle Johann Christoph, Johann Sebastian the great and two of his sons, Wilhelm Friedemann and Carl Philipp Emmanuel. A rising star in the world of baroque music, Benjamin Alard is also an outstanding organist. In 2005, at the age of 25, wasn’t he appointed permanent player of the Saint-Louis-en-L’Ile church organ? Hence his familiarity with the Bachs, and everything linked to the golden times when organ and harpsichord reigned supreme.
