A GAME OF CONTRASTS

This painting of elusive presences combines multiplicity and uniqueness, fluctuating landscape of bodies playing cat and mouse between shadow and light, a moving architecture of perceptions the flux of which takes on a combination of energies of accumulations and deflagrations. Fabrice Lambert describes Solaire [Solar] as a “game of contrasts”, the dynamic of which goes through the strata of a memory both organic and cellular in order to get the present, i.e. a network of resonances, to vibrate. Surely, dance is a journey through time and space, and the choreographer has been exploring its bodily potentialities for more than ten years, with the dancers, plastic artists and video directors he includes in his company, L’Expérience Harmaat [The Harmaat Experience]. A peculiar, particularly original work on lighting effects, in partnership with light designer Philippe Gladieux, colours the stage of Solaire. An entirely new technical device, conceived with a graphic table, allows space to shift in real time, following the movement of layers of light which no longer “light up the performance”, but extend its kinaesthetic momentum into interactive intensity.
