Zimmermann & De Perrot Author, composer, director

Hans was Heiri  creation

THE SAME, THE OTHER.
Zimmermann & de Perrot, profusely multi-skilled circus men, surround themselves with five performers to identify their fellow creatures.

Two directors: Zimmerman, the choreographer and de Perrot, the composer,. Both exceptional characters, able to coil up on themselves, vanish into thin air and other such fantasies. They have, throughout their artistic journey, created worlds in their own image, meticulous and wildly off beaten tracks. They say their starting point is what cannot be seen at first and only appears when attention fails. Following that, as poets, as dry humorists, they go out on a limb, eagerly exploring the sidesteps of reality. “We like to deform things. We are looking for the possible in the impossible. We frolic on the edge of the abyss...” These are a few of their precepts. Their new show is entitled Hans was Heiri, meaning John was Henry; or six of one  and half a dozen of the other. With their partners, they try to understand what makes people look alike, what makes them different. Can one ever find one’s fellow creature? And why would one look for him or her? In any case, it looks as though this is the Big Question of the current century.
