BERBER PRIDE

The Inouraz (The Hopes) ensemble stem from the tradition of the rways, the poet-singers. They explore the amazigh tradition and creatively perpetuate it. Each and every musician is a master. There are two percussions, a lotar, a three or four stringed lute, and ribab, a single stringed fiddle with a sweet sour timbre. Moulay Ali Chouhad, a bard endowed with a golden voice and an natural elegance on stage offers us his poetic songs. They alternate with instrumental pieces. Inouraz are the songsters of a vulnerable identity.
