Kyle Abraham Choreographer

Pavement

Kyle Abraham explodes all the stereotypes of dance. A musician, visual creator, and classical dancer, this choreographer from Pittsburgh tackles hip-hop as a complete artist. Pavement shifts the murderous violence of the film Boyz n the Hood towards an extremely musical dance that’s fluid and sensual, creating a modern rite on Bach, Brel, Britten, and Vivaldi. Hip-hop that’s so soft it’s a ballet!
