A DRAMATIC CHRONICLE WITH BAND AND SONGS

In September 1939, Europe descends into conflict. In less than six weeks, Bertolt Brecht makes of the legendary Courage the heroine of a dramatic chronicle with a small band and numerous songs. In the autumn of 2005, under the direction of Claus Peymann, Carmen-Maja Antoni writes down the name of Mother Courage again in the repertoire of the Berliner Ensemble. And today the play comes back to Paris, 60 years after its triumph with Hélène Weigel and Bertolt Brecht.
