A well-placed voice, the bearing of a diva enhanced by traditional jewels and sumptuous finery, nothing seems to impress this young woman born in 1974 in the mountains of Turkmenistan. Since 1991 she has been living in Ashkhabad, the capital, where she has studied singing. Today she can sing unfailingly until dawn at wedding ceremonies, with the same vibrant passion for the classical and popular songs which make up her repertoire. Her vocal qualities have been recognized by the President of her country, who recently awarded her the title of "outstanding Turkmen artist".
