The pleasure of rediscovering a bright, witty choreographer, together with eleven dancers from a wonderful array of cultural backgrounds.
The humor of Ambra Senatore is so fine and ironic that it has often concealed the question of our identities, examining instead the possibility of having a world together with others and with ourselves. For this latest production, the director of the National Choreographic Center in Nantes, France, has formed a group with diverse backgrounds encompassing the world. There is Youness, Pieradolfo, Olimpia, Chandra, Marie and more, haggling over space, in very real terms, and also haggling over the fragile balance between the life of the group and the part of each individual member that can never be compromised. This leaves the members of the audience to contemplate their own shortcomings, but with a smile, for a more relaxed approach to situations of living together.
