After his last concert in Théâtre des Abbesses in 2010, Jayanthi has become the most popular Indian veena player. She started her studies at a very early age and she’s one of the rare S. Balachander’s disciples. The extreme variety of her art intensely revives this intimate instrument. Through her interiority, she opens up the path leading to dreams, and through her extraordinary mastery she rises high the banner of Carnatic swing.
