With an unwavering regularity,
Maguy Marin slays the torments of our time. Outraged and strongly committed, she endlessly chases in her choreographies the limits that trap our horizons and inhibit our hopes. In the continuity of her last piece, “DEUX MILLE DIX SEPT”, she resumes with “Ligne de crête” (Ridge Line) a path of denunciation that she translates into words and dance in order to “reconstruct the possibility of recreating a system of desire”. Against the submission and the inertia generated by capitalist domination, amid the dance community playground, Maguy Marin pursues her ongoing search for an art capable of awakening and affecting consciences by inviting them to imagine other possible scenarios. After a thirty year sparkling carrier, Maguy-the-rebel is not one to accept to “live a small life of diminished vitality”!
