Off to bed, don’t forget to wear your nightcap. Open your ears to listen to this beautiful tale by Societas Raffaello Sanzio or by the Théâtre de la Ville Company.
Here we are kindly asked to take off our shoes and to lie down under the blankets. “Buchettino”, aka Castellucci’s and Chiara Guidi’s version of “Tom Thumb”, reenacts the bedtime story ritual: we are in the dark, as if we were ready to fall asleep and we hang on to Silvia Pasello’s words. We cannot see anything but we hear it all: the rustling in the bushes, the creepy wood creaking, the storm approaching, the ogre’s steps… like we were there. And indeed, we are there, in a dorm, in a small wooden bed, like the ones of Perrault tale brothers… Societas Raffaello Sanzio “Buchettino” is one of those legendary shows known by far more people than those who have already seen it. For our greatest pleasure, it comes back to Théâtre de la Ville where it was already presented five years ago!
