THE CONTAGIOUS EUPHORIA OF SHECHTER II IN A CELEBRATION OF CLUBBING WHERE THE BEAT IS KING.
Shechter II is a junior company with a fresh cohort every two years. It is now hosted at the Montpellier Centre for Choreography, where Hofesh Shechter has joined the new collective leadership, introduced by Dominique Hervieu. After three months training, they will tour for nine months, including a long stop-over at the Théâtre de la Ville. This new original work for Shechter II draws inspiration from Cave, a piece created by Hofesh Shechter in New York for the Martha Graham Company in 2022. What is it like to to dance all night? Time melts away and we dream a collective dream of connection and belonging. The young dancers of Shechter II bring all their energy and excellence to this festive and finely choreographed.
