“Oud” Turkish master, Yurdal Tokcan, and “kanoun” master, Göksel Baktagir have known each other and have been playing together for more than thirty years. They acquired an international reputation that earned them numerous prizes and awards. Both members of Istanbul Turkish classical music National Ensemble, Yurdal Tokcan and Göksel Batagir regularly play abroad in different ensembles. Playing in duet for the first time in France on the occasion of this exceptional concert, they will devote themselves to classical ottoman music. Founded on “maqam”, it will allow them to express through its “taqsims”, their mastery in the art of improvisation.
