BY DANIEL PENNAC
For many years, Daniel Pennac carried on a correspondence with Gabrielle Vincent, the illustrious Belgian creator of Ernest et Célestine. Sadly, Vincent left this world before the two authors could meet. After her death, Pennac was overcome with the desire to tell the story of these two beings so dissimilar, who become the best of friends despite it all. He started by telling it in a film, then the screenplay became this tender and caustic novel. Now Daniel Pennac joins the Orchestre Philharmonique to create a musical and radiophonic version of the adventures of the marvellous characters created by Gabrielle Vincent. The exploits of Ernest and Célestine are always full of kindness, humour, joy, and optimism. A surprising story that extols tolerance and courage.
