Inês Barahona first studied philosophy, then explored a wide range of fields, from writing to dramaturgy and including education. In 2014, she and Miguel Fragata founded the company Formiga Atómica, and together have been developing projects for diverse audiences with a special focus on the close link between the arts and education. Their interest is for issues of contemporary relevance, e.g. death with The March of the Elephants (2021), the refugee crisis with Beyond the Forest (2019), and ecology with The State of the World (2022).
