Back to the Company’s workshop on Ionesco.
After having toured throughout the world, Théâtre de la Ville Company’s workshop on Ionesco is back in Paris. Following a period of research and improvisation, “Ionesco Suite” is a navigation through the author’s obsessions: the difficulty of existing, the manifestation of power and of domination (both affective and intellectual) and the arbitrariness of language. An ode to the violence of his humor that goes back to its origins and plunges at the heart of the texts that opened the way to the Absurd. “The Bald Soprano” and “The Lesson” but also other less known works, such as “Jack, or the Submission” and “Delirium for Two”... In a smooth, sharp and humorous acting spirit sharing a moment of complicity with the audience.
