Maguy Marin has been a key name in choreography for four decades, and is seen as a clear social conscience in the world of the arts. Her new opus takes on the task of dissecting mechanisms manipulating public opinion, transforming human bodies into objects to be observed, filmed and recorded. The analysis of paths of human motivation provides the input for complete dramatic art, with the interaction of bodies, voices, music and visual art presented in a perspective harking back to Bertolt Brecht and the grand German comedian Karl Valentin. Laughter is indeed the best rampart to keep out propaganda.
