A VERSION OF MIRE DESIGNED FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES

Young members of the audience can lie on the floor to watch kaleidoscopic pictures in a mobile mirror hanging from the ceiling. Concealed inside a cylinder, much like a zoetrope, are eight performers following choreographed circular movements in unison, creating surprising mandalas as each new one takes form. Memorable visuals are manufactured and conduct a dialogue with early moving pictures, to music composed using basic sound elements which the children can use in creative workshops. Here is a one-off experience for the young and not so young.
