THE WORLD OF JACQUES BREL AND HIS LEGENDARY PHYSICALITY, BROUGHT TO LIFE THROUGH THE BRILLIANCE OF AN OUTSTANDING DUO.

How do you choreograph dance to the songs of Jacques Brel? With her natural feeling for beautiful compositions, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker rises brilliantly to the challenge. And this is no first for the Brussels-native, who danced to the songs of Joan Baez in her powerful solo Once. Here she brings to the stage Solal Mariotte, who recently excited attention for his remarkable performance in Exit Above. With a background in urban dance, this young dancer/acrobat is chock full of talent, including a talent for acting, which comes in handy when tackling Brel, known for his expressive physicality. Solal Mariotte’s expansive sensitivity combines perfectly with the energy of the great European choreographer and together they bring us the full power and timbre of an unforgettable voice.
