Petites Perceptions / La Rumeur / A Body of Rumours

THE DYNAMIC BEAUTY OF THREE NUANCED PIECES, INSPIRED BY OUR LIVES, OUR BODIES AND OUR MOVEMENTS.
In 2010, Noé Soulier, now director of the National Centre for Contemporary Dance (Cndc) in Angers, won first prize at the inaugural edition of Danse élargie for his work Petites Perceptions. This trio formed the foundation of his complex and unique style. Opposite this choreographic luminary, we have young British talent Liam Francis, who has often performed at the Théâtre de la Ville as a dancer for Ballet Rambert and Ben Duke. In his dynamic and intimate trio, he explores what brings people together and the joyful complexity of life fully lived in community. 2016 finalist Maud Blandel has created a piece for twenty students of the Angers Cndc, in which the movements change and warp as they pass through the prism of the bodies and identities of each dancer. Their refusal to conform embodies the very spirit of Danse élargie.
