OUR FINAL RITES REIMAGINED, WITH A WICKED SENSE OF HUMOUR.
Solène Weinachter blew us away as Juliet in Ben Duke’s unforgettable Juliet and Romeo. With her own work, she takes us on a hilarious ride inspired by her own life. Her wit spares neither herself, nor Scottish society, which she knows well as a key member of the Scottish Dance Theatre. AFTER ALL is inspired by her experience living in a country where humour and dance are no strangers at funerals. She opens our hearts and minds to other ways of marking death, both new and yet very old, in which a burial can be an ode to life and even an opportunity to dance. She has fun imagining her own funeral in a performance that brings together cabaret, storytelling, dance and comedy.
