JOHANNES BRAHMS EXPLAINED TO KIDS
Marc Coppey owes his vocation to Brahms: hearing the composer’s Sextet number 1 as a child was a true revelation. It is no surprise then that this day will open with a concert/discussion entitled, Brahms explained to kids, an opportunity to discover Brahms’ famous Hungarian Dances and his splendid String Sextet n°1. The second concert will include three of the great composer’s masterpieces, showcasing his characteristic tenderness and impassioned lyricism, in particular his Quartet for piano and strings n°1 and his famous “ Gypsy Rando ”.
