ACCENTUS KASPARS PUTNIŅŠ
Brahms, Schumann and the romantics
CARE FOR A LITTLE MORE BRAHMS?
Accentus brings together two choral masters - Schumann and Brahms – in one a cappella programme. With texts from Eichendorff, Goethe, Müller and Rückert, Schumann and Brahms weave a profound dialogue between poetry and music. Their works, composed between 1840 and 1888, reflect their own friendship and their connection with Clara Schumann. Accentus revisits this repertoire with Latvian conductor Kaspars Putniņš, a leading light in European choral music.
