Suzanne Rault-Balet
Concert & performance poétique
« Maybe I Don’t Feel Like Being Nice »
On the occasion of the Paris Music Festival, the Théâtre de la Ville welcomes the writer and poet Suzanne Rault-Balet for a new, poetic, and musical creation. She will be specially accompanied by Thomas d’Arbigny on bass, Samy Docteur on guitar, and Alex Tran on drums.
Born in 1993, Suzanne Rault-Balet is a multifaceted artist. A writer, photographer, actress, and singer, her two hybrid collections — Des frelons dans le cœur (Éditions de L’Iconoclaste, 2020) and Sans tristesse aucune (Éditions du Castor Astral, 2024) — combine poems, punchy lines, and analog photography.
But it is on stage that she fully comes alive. She delivers a raw and sensitive musical performance, where writing, composition, and interpretation intersect, strongly asserting the vibrant role and renewal of poetry on contemporary literary and musical stages. She is currently working on her first novel.
