Balanced between past and present, lightness and weight, this work blurs the lines between childhood and old age, solitude and togetherness. In a performance brought to life by two great actors, Hugues looks back over his life as he talks to his friend Laurent. They have known each other all their lives and weigh their silences as carefully as their words. As they flick through photos of Hugues’ past, those of his late mother, the mesmerisingly beautiful “goddess”, make him burn with pain. Acclaimed playwright, Philippe Minyana’s script is touching and subtle, but not without a dose of humour. A story of friendship to move our hearts and awaken our own fantoms.
