FRIENDSHIP AND SOLIDARITY BLOOM IN THE DEAD OF THE NIGHT.

Scrub, wash, scour. Rest. It’s one break every four hours for these five cleaners. They work nights in an empty meatpacking factory, where the silence is only broken by the echo of their mops cleaning the floor. Together, they get to know each other and themselves. Ruthlessly exploited, they are modern society’s dogsbodies, permanently insecure. British writer and director Alexander Zeldin makes his debut at the Théâtre de la Ville with Prendre soin. Performed across the globe, his work, like that of Ken Loach, tells the stories of ordinary men and women and their search for happiness, with tenderness and empathy.
