HOFESH SHECHTER In the Brain
Featuring 8 dancers • REVIVAL • UNITED KINGDOM
A VIGOROUS AND IMMERSIVE WORK, FUELLED BY THE ENERGY OF EIGHT YOUNG DANCERS.
“A bare stage, alternating surges of light and dark, and non-stop waves of energy. IN THE BRAIN is perfectly staged to highlight the dancing and choreography. Hofesh Shechter can bring an entire community to the stage and so is at ease with his subject matter. Here he ramps things up, shaking up his style and channelling technical excellence in to a great, festive eruption […] With intense precision, his choreography brings a flowing magma of bodies on stage, which then regroups into an island, only to fan out like an accordion creating a freeze that evokes traditional dance.”
