Juliet and Romeo? Ben Duke has flipped the names of the world’s most iconic couple and his blend of dance and theatre flips the script on this famous story. With characteristic British humour, he takes us into the lives of an ordinary couple in the midst of a mid-life crisis. In this version, Romeo and Juliet survived. They live in the same world we do, their story could be ours, their passion has been lost along the way. But Shakespeare is still their spiritual father, and they constantly measure themselves against his words and all the ballets created in their name. But right now they are in couples therapy. At times hilarious, at times heartbreaking, and, through dance, always beautiful.
