Ida and Paul realise that they think, and therefore… could not be more surprised! These two naive, and somewhat clownish friends play with words and thoughts, ever surprised and delighted by their discoveries. And when two can play, thoughts can be shared, which is helpful, and liberating. It’s no coincidence that the title of the work reminds us of Pascal’s famous maxim: I think therefore I am. Here the great philosophical questions are tackled with all the gravity and joy that children can muster. Sylvain Maurice has created a performance for two actors and one musician with a simple, portable set up, that is accessible to all. With lively dialogue from Nicolas Doutey, who brings us his first work for young audiences, the theatre is transformed into a live field of exploration…
