BURLESQUE AND WITHOUT WORDS: A DUO OF METAPHYSICAL CLOWNS IN THE TRUE SPIRIT OF BECKET.
One is holding a book, the other a broom. With moon-like faces and pantomime, here are two clowns re-enacting the timeless master-and-servant duo, in which, as one might expect, the most daft one isn’t the one you’d think. Irreverent as one would expect, they try their hand at a few sleight-of-hand tricks that do not always produce the desired result. A little dance and objects appear; they play with theatrical effects; their act is perfectly polished and they could have left it at that… But then things get out of hand and the whole affair takes a more surprising, even somewhat metaphysical, turn. Perhaps Beckett and Buster Keaton, united, are pulling the strings of this strange tale from behind the scenes…
