A JOYFUL COLLECTIVE PROJECT, A FREE, EASY, CONTEMPORARY TAKE ON THE 1930S.
After years with the band L’impératrice, Flore Benguigui returns to her first love: 1930s jazz, and the 1970s analogue synthesisers that accompanied her for over eleven years at the Baiser Salé jazz club. On stage, jazz becomes a joyous collective playground, where improvisation and accidents are welcome. She brings different eras into dialogue, dismantling preconceived ideas of jazz as elitist. With her trio (piano, double bass and drums), each concert creates space for free, lively, playful experimentation.
