A GROUND-BREAKING CONCERT/PERFORMANCE, BETWEEN THE REAL AND THE VIRTUAL.

“The most original compositional voice to emerge from Ireland in the past 20 years” (The Irish Times), Dubliner Jennifer Walshe is a major figure in contemporary music. “Some thinking & feeling” is a vast archive of artistic research on AI and sentience, where the artist explores the porous boundaries between the biological and the virtual; from historical automatons inspired by Hoffmann to current-day learning networks, from figures in affective AI to advancements in robotics. Written for her vocals and the Ensemble Contrechamps (rhythm, woodwind and brass), her new work dips into these archives and the latest scientific and philosophical advances.
