7 minutes, is the story of eleven workers on an assembly line in a factory threatened with closure. They anxiously await the return of their union representative from a meeting. In a dramatic turn of events, management offers not to close the site on the condition that they give up 7 minutes of break. Seven minutes, that’s 600 free hours for the bosses. If they accept, what further extortion awaits? The debate is lively, gruelling, how can they stick together as individualism threatens human connection. Initially created at the Comédie-Française in 2021, Maëlle Poésy continues this theatrical adventure full of twists and turns.
