LETTRES JAMAIS ÉCRITES Estelle Savasta
Featuring Olivier Constant and Valérie Puech
TRUTH, FICTION AND WORDS OF CARE.
This marvellous collective adventure began when Estelle Savasta, an artist interested in personal stories, asked a group of highschoolers to write the letter they had never dared, or perhaps even thought, to write. One wrote to her father, who left when she was born, another, to a grandfather who died 7 years before… Struck by the power of their words, she entrusted these letters to authors: Fabrice Melquiot, Pauline Bureau, Catherine Verlaguet and ten or so others, who wrote back as if they had been addressed to themselves. Brought to the stage by an actor and an actress, these “never-written letters” open up a new dialogue between teenager and adult, and between truth and fiction, that touches on something universal. You may find it difficult to hold back a tear, or ignore your own inner, questioning voice. Ten years after its creation, this piece continues to touch hearts.
