A UNIQUE WORK THAT PUSHES BACK THE BOUNDARIES OF OPERA.

Between musical theatre and cinematic opera, The Curing Line, winner of the prestigious Fedora International Opera Prize, blurs boundaries and shakes up expectations. From classical to pop, from traditional instruments and industrial sounds, this is a work full of energy and contrast. In an Irish border town, haunted by The Troubles, Cora inherits a life-saving ancestral cure, but then loses the power to use it. This loss opens up broader questions: at a time of environmental crisis, when we are losing sight of humanist values, do we still have the power to heal?
