Description

A LOVE STORY ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RING ROAD AND BEYOND THE BORDERS BETWEEN FILM AND THEATRE AND THE VISIBLE AND THE INVISIBLE.

Diving into their treasure trove of tales – after Don Quixote, Snow White and other figures reinvigorated through their mischievous ways – La Cordonnerie and its masters of cine-performance turn to H. G. Wells’s Invisible Man, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and two or three things about love (which it is said makes one blind). Their “supernatural and political fable” takes place on the edge of a ring road cruelly dividing a city. The visible live on one side, the invisible on the other. That’s just how it is, no one knows why anymore. Until a ping-pong champion called Romy comes along wanting to spread her father’s ashes on the other side, which is where Pierre lives… Live sound effects and DIY tricks, humor and sensitivity, music, constant play between film images and the living time of theatre: everything you need to avoid winding up like Romeo and Juliet
