AFTER J’AI TROP PEUR (I’M TOO AFRAID), HERE COMES J’AI TROP D’AMIS (I HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS), OR EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR FIRST YEAR OF SECONDARY SCHOOL. AN ORIGINAL PRODUCTION INITIATED BY THEATRE DE LA VILLE.
To be or not to be popular, that is the big question at the heart of J’ai trop d’amis, an honest to goodness survival guide for students starting secondary school. You’ll remember that the young protagonist of J’ai trop peur was so terrified at the idea of entering secondary school that it ruined his summer vacation. Now it’s happened, he’s taken the leap and that’s where the real trouble began: problems with popularity, friends, and especially enemies, the election of class delegates, girls, and especially one particular girl… Writer-director David Lescot picks up the story where he left off, with three actresses and the same all-terrain narrative device to deliver a humorous analysis of the pitiless world of preteens. If recent events made you miss out on most of your first year of secondary school, make sure you don’t miss J’ai trop d’amis!
